What does professional propagating an Anthurium look like in practice? It begins with selecting elite mother plants that exhibit ideal traits such as rich flower color, uniform leaf shape, fast growth, and strong disease resistance. From these plants, small tissue samples—called explants—are harvested under sterile lab conditions. These explants are thoroughly sterilized to remove any potential pathogens, then placed on a nutrient-dense growth medium enriched with hormones and minerals. During the multiplication phase, these samples develop into dozens or even hundreds of genetically identical young plants. Once the shoots are well-formed, they are transferred to a rooting medium to encourage strong root development. Afterward, the young Anthuriums enter a controlled acclimatization phase in the greenhouse, where they adapt gradually to light, humidity, and temperature. Once stabilized, the plants are potted and grown to market-ready size, then distributed to retail and export channels.
